Using Universal Design for Learning to Enhance Information Literacy Programs: Online and in the Library

As the Core Board Member of A22 Foundation and the coordinator of the IFLA Information Literacy Section and Library Services to People with Special Needs Section joint webinar  “Using Universal Design for Learning to Enhance Information Literacy Programs: Online and in the Library”, Ms Helen Chan, the Vice-Chair of Academy 22 Foundation Education For All, was honoured and humbled to receive lots of positive feedback from IFLA HQ, my IFLA colleagues, the speakers, and attendees of this international event. Nearly 1000 experts and professionals of the field from over 75 countries and regions registered the international event.  

Nancy Bolt, the Chair of IFLA LSN expressed in her words that “I want first thank Helen for her leadership in the preparation, presentation, and follow-up on our successful webinar, particularly the technology connected with the webinar.  The webinar was on a critical topic and the number of registrants, as well as attendees, shows how important it is.”

Our Vice-Chair Ms Helen Chan become the IFLA Professional Division Committee Chair (2021-2023)

 

I’d like to inform you about the good news that our Vice-Chair Ms Helen Chan has become the IFLA Professional Division Committee Chair (2021-2023) and Board Member of International Advisor, Journal of Librarianship & Information Science. The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) is the leading international body representing the interests of people who rely on libraries and information professionals. An independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization, IFLA was founded in Scotland in 1927 and maintains headquarters at the National Library of the Netherlands in The Hague. The Journal of Librarianship and Information Science is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes papers in the fields of Information Science and Library Science. It has been in publication since 1969 and is currently published by SAGE Publications.
